The Pomp Podcast: #451 on Investing in Innovation. If you have companies built around ideas that Matthew Walker (author of Why We Sleep), David Sinclair (author of Lifespan) and Peter Attia all talk about, and add psychedelics, Angermayer is looking to invest in them. He explains what led him to focus on health, longevity and psychedelics, how he lives his life to expand longevity and improve health-span, and what types of companies he’s invested in. The Rest
Invest Like the Best: Sam Hinkie — Find Your People. Hinkie is the former GM for the Philadelphia 76ers, where he led “The Process” and tanked for more than three consecutive years before being fired by the team. He recently launched a venture capital firm called Eighty-Seven Capital. It’s a really thoughtful conversation about how to find people you want to either hire or devote a significant amount of time to, and how he approaches both of those. If you believe the idea you’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with, this is the episode about how to find those five people to be your best self. The Tim Ferriss Show: #487: Dr. Martine Rothblatt — The Incredible Polymath of Polymaths. Rothblatt probably has the most unique story I have ever come across. She is the CEO of United Therapeutics (a biotech company she started to save the life of one of her daughters), previously created and led Sirius XM as its CEO, and designed the world’s first electric helicopter. She identifies as transgender-binary and has done a lot of work to lead the transgender community to establish their own health law standards. They cover every stop mentioned before and it is a truly fascinating interview. [December 16, 2020–1 hour, 58 minutes] iTunes Podcast | Spotify | Google | Breaker | Website Link
