His next book is The Least of Us: True Tales of America and Hope in the Time of Fentanyl and Meth, which is the topic for this episode and focuses on the devastation caused by both methamphetamine and fentanyl. He specifically argues the latest version of meth causes more of an emotional toll and is contributing to the tent cities we’re seeing across the country today. They tie the drug issue to broader societal trends, like lack of connectedness amongst each other, and assess whether or not these trends are contributing to drug use.
